Cosmetic Procedure Pre Care
There can be no guarantee of expected improvements, as it will depend on each individual.
It is recommended that three - six treatments will be required to achieve optimal results.
Advise clinic if you are taking any blood thinner medications (asprin, ibuprofen, fish oil, ginko biloba and Vit A or E) or antiobiotics (gentamicin, amikacin, neomcin or streptomycin).
Avoid Retin A, Renova, Tretinon, BHAs (salicylic acid)/ AHAs (glycolic acid) for 1-2 weeks prior.
If you have used Roaccutane/isotretinoin you must wait 6 months.
Advise clinic if you have a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring or are prone to mouth ulcers (herpes).
Ensure your treatment area is free from open cuts, wounds, abrasions and sunburn.
Avoid other facial/skin treatments for 2 weeks prior to treatment.
You must wait 4 weeks after skin peels & 6 months after laser treatments.
You may not be pregnant or have a pace maker.
Cosmetic Procedure Post Care
Do not apply make-up for 24 hours.
Avoid exercise (including yoga), sweating, heat and saunas for 12-24 hours.
Do not massage or rub areas for 24 hours.
Avoid sun exposure and always wear SPF+.
Avoid hot baths such as Turkish baths for 2-4 weeks.
Avoid Retin A, Renova, Tretinon, BHAs (salicylic acid)/ AHAs glycolic acid and exfoliating scrubs for 1 week post treatment.
No further skin treatments for 2 weeks post treatment (skin peels, microneedling, lasers ect.)
You may gently cleanse & moisturise without rubbing the evening of treatment.
Your skin may be red like a sunburn for 1-4 days post treatment and may start to dry, flake and become irritated over the week. This is expected and is a part of the healing process.
